Margaret Wendell Huntington and Nessa Cohen were among the 300 artists who exhibited at the 1913 Armory Show, a groundbreaking New York City art exhibition that introduced modernism to American audiences. Though now canonical, many works featured in the show—particularly one abstract cubist painting by Marcel Duchamp— considered shocking at the time.
