On Guard is a 1997 photograph by Iranian artist Shirin Neshat. Like many of Neshat's photos, the work featuresa pair of hands. Clasping a microphone, one hand _____ covered in Persian script, the hands imply an out-of-frame figure on the edge of speaking.
