Developed by Les Paul in 1945, multitrack recording allows music producers to record songs by layering separate musical tracks on top of one another. For example, producers can first record the drums. _____ they can record the guitars on top of the drums. Last, they can record the singer's vocals on top of the drum and guitar tracks to complete a rough mix of the song.
