Research has shown that regardless of musical training, most hearing adults recognize that the notes of the simple melody of "Baa Baa Black Sheep" are harmonious. Similarly, a study showed that even participants with no musical training could easily follow the underlying beat in the Brazilian samba song "Só Danço Samba" despite its often complex rhythms, raising the possibility that this capability was somehow ______ the participants.
