Nicholas Galanin is known for using video and photography to explore questions of authenticity in the identification and presentation of Native art. The acclaimed Tlingit/Aleut artist was awarded a 2013 fellowship by the Eiteljorg Museum, whose extensive collection of artworks by Indigenous peoples of the Americas and other artists of the American West among the best in the world.
