Not all plants benefit equally or from the same kind of sweet gum and cucumber, for example, benefit from endomycorrhizal associations; many tree species, such as oak and pine, benefit from ectomycorrhizal associations; and plants in the Ericaceae family, such as lingonberry, don't benefit from mycorrhizae at all.
