As an object-oriented computer programming language, Perl is used by coders like Black Girls Code founder Kimberly Bryant programs by manipulating "objects" (that is, specifically defined variables or combinations of variables) into interacting with each other. Conversely, Pascal, used in software development and educational instruction, is not an object-oriented language.
