On February 1, 2018, Florida-based researchers Martha A. Scholl, Maoya Bassiouni, and Angel Torres-Sánchez climate data from several sites in Puerto Rico's Luquillo Mountains. At 12:00 a.m., the air temperature was at site CC1, the site with the highest elevation, and it had shifted to by 6:00 p.m.
