Included in Reclamation! Pan-African Works from the Beth Rudin DeWoody Collection, a 2018 group exhibition at the Taubman Museum of Art in Roanoke, Virginia, was the work of artist Lorna Simpson, who is best known for her multimedia artworks that juxtapose images of African American women with text fragments.
