Included in Graphic Witness, a 2017 group exhibition at the Drawing Room in London, United Kingdom, was the work of multimedia artist Lorna Simpson. The impact of Simpson's work is the horizons of conceptual photographic art, challenging conventional notions of race, gender, history, and memory, and shedding light on the experience of African American women in contemporary society.
