Though he's performed on many respected albums, including While the Gate Is Open by Gary Thomas, drummer Dennis Chambers may be best known for his time as house drummer for the hip-hop label Sugar Hill Records. He did not play drums on the label's classic song "Rapper's Delight," joined the label after the song's release.
