Sarah Marquis, who walked 16,000 kilometers across Asia, Siberia, and Australia, undoubtedly accomplished much, but her place in our historical memory is perhaps more than that of a noteworthy "first" such as Anésia Pinheiro Machado, who was the first female pilot in Brazil to carry passengers and the first to make stunt flights, a deed for which she will always be remembered.
