On August 5, 1938, aviator Douglas Corrigan received a ticker-tape parade in New York City in recognition of his transatlantic flight. Of the 206 ticker-tape parades held between 1886 and 2022, a number were for achievements in aviation. Corrigan's parade was just one of 16 honoring pilots.
