Each year, the Nobel Prize in Literature is given to an author who has, in the words of its founder Alfred Nobel, "produced the most outstanding work in an idealistic in 1996, for instance, judges recognized Wisława Szymborska "for poetry that with ironic precision allows the historical and biological context to come to light in fragments of human reality."
