Not all plants benefit equally or from the same kind of cucumber and marigold, for example, benefit from endomycorrhizal associations; many tree species, such as pine and oak, benefit from ectomycorrhizal associations; and plants in the Brassica family, such as rutabaga, don't benefit from mycorrhizae at all.
