Although our knowledge of the Pliocene epoch and the lives of the hominids during this time was once ________, recent analyses of fossils like that of the individual known as KNM-KP 271, discovered in Kenya in 1963, have sharpened our picture of what a day in the life of KNM-KP 271 may have looked like.
