A number of recording artists ________ distinctions between Indigenous music and other musical styles. For example, Choctaw singer-songwriter Samantha Crain incorporated elements of Choctaw hymns into folk-pop on her single "When We Remain," and Swinomish/Iñupiaq musician Black Belt Eagle Scout combined powwow-style melodies with rock on her album At the Party with My Brown Friends.
