Though he's performed on many respected albums, including Loud Jazz by John Scofield, drummer Dennis Chambers may be best known for his time as house drummer for the hip-hop label Sugar Hill Records. He did not play drums on the label's classic song "Rapper's he joined the label after the song's release.
