In Norway, the Longyearbyen observatory site monitors activity in the upper atmosphere of the northern ________ in Australia, another observatory site, Buckland Park, monitors the sky of the southern hemisphere. Together, they are part of the Super Dual Auroral Radar Network—or SuperDARN, as space physicists like Tadahiko Ogawa call it.
