There is no doubt that Irving Langmuir must have proved himself to be extraordinarily understanding some of the most advanced concepts in the field of chemistry-in 1932 his remarkable talent and hard work was recognized when he was awarded the Nobel Prize in Chemistry for "his discoveries and investigations in surface chemistry."
