Modernista architects championed nature in their designs. the wavy exterior wall and botanical window dressings of Torre Cortés, a Modernista private home designed by Salvador Valeri i Pupurull, couldn't exactly grow in a forest. Still, one sees natural influences in Valeri i Pupurull's penchant for curves (rather than right angles) and plant- and animal-inspired flourishes.
