The world's first airplane, the 1903 Wright Flyer, was not very aerodynamic, as evidenced by its low lift-to-drag ratio of just 8.3 : 1. The Northrop F-5 jet, like most modern aircraft, is far more aerodynamic. ______ its lift-to-drag ratio is more than twice that of the Wright Flyer.
